Get ready to shout out the names of popular songs once again! Name That Tune has been renewed for a sixth season on Fox.
The game show, now branded as Celebrity Name That Tune, was revived in 2021, after a similar game aired in the 1970s, and has gone through many iterations with civilians and celebrities. Season 1 was everyday people. Season 2 was a mix of non-famous people and celebrities. From Season 3 on, it has been all celebrities.
Celebrity Name That Tune was renewed on May 11 as part of the Fox Upfronts, along with a slew of Fox game shows. The show has celebrities going head-to-head, trying to be the first to name a song by hearing a few seconds. There are numerous rounds, and whoever wins the game advances to the Bonus Round, where they try to win $100,000 for their chosen charity.
“Our 2026-27 slate reflects what FOX does best — putting creative first with distinctive, returnable series and bold, character-driven storytelling,” Rob Wade, CEO of FOX Entertainment, said in a statement. “With a strong foundation of returning hits and a carefully curated pipeline of new original series, we’re building a lineup designed to connect with broad audiences, drive performance in both the U.S. and around the world, and bring the consistency, scale, and momentum that position us strongly for the year ahead.”
