Missouri wrestling kicked off the Hustle in the Heartland with a shutout against Long Island, 42-0. The second dual against No. 6 Nebraska did not go in favor of Mizzou, as the Tigers lost 27-10 to split the tournament Friday in St. Charles.

The No. 12 Tigers won all of their matches against LIU. Redshirt senior Evan Bates' cradle and fall secured in 18 seconds was the highlight of the match for Missouri. Redshirt freshman Aeodan Sinclair beat former NCAA qualifier and graduate Anthony D'Alesio 21-6 with a technical fall.

Redshirt senior Josh Edmond had the first victory over the Huskers with a 16-8 decision. It was followed by a ranked matchup between No. 2 Sinclair and No. 8 Silas Allred that went Mizzou's way with a 5-1 decision. Bates earned another win on the night against No. 10 Camden McDanel with a 4-1 decision. The three duals were the only wins over Nebraska.

The Tigers will compete in the Cougar Clash against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at 10 a.m. Sunday in Edwardsville, Illinois.
