Mahoning Valley Sojourn to the Past, Youngstown, Ohio and the Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information unveiled the Civil Rights Memorial Mural at 14 Broad St., Saturday, March 14th.

Local artist, Sheila Ferrell was commissioned by the Mahoning Valley Sojourn to the Past for this project which memorialized those who played an integral role on March 7, 1965 and beyond. On hand were relatives of Patricia Blalock who integrated the Carnegie Library in 1963 and Viola Liuzzo who was murdered by the KKK on March 25, 1965.
