Dirt Cheap Demopolis

The Dirt Cheap discount retail store chain has filed for bankruptcy and announced it will close all stores in Alabama by the end of the year.

That means closure of stores in Demopolis, Thomasville and Jackson.

The store’s parent company, Channel Control Merchants based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, filed bankruptcy documents outlining the closures.

News reports say the stores are already offering liquidation sales at its 60 stores in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.
