The Selma Sun scored a detailed interview with Jim Lewis, CEO of Rhaglan Hospitality, who shared exciting plans in this week’s print edition to renovate the St. James Hotel on Water Avenue into a boutique Hilton.
The St. James Hotel’s renovation by the developers of the popular Redmont Hotel in downtown Birmingham could change the landscape and speed momentum for redevelopment of the rest of downtown Selma.
It’s taken two and a half years and convincing two Selma regimes for Rhaglan to move forward with the project. Purchase of the hotel from the city is set to close around the end of April.
For more about the project, find the print edition of the Selma Sun at the Centre of Commerce, Swift Drug, Carter’s Drug, Coffee Shoppe and Crossroads Exxon. Subscribe to get the paper every week in your mailbox, go here.
