A ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 1, marked the official opening of Greensboro Antiques, a new addition to Main Street’s growing business district in Greensboro, Alabama. Co-owners Rutledge and Pride Forney opened the store that features eight dealers offering a diverse mix of vintage items, collectibles, furniture, china and crystal. An upstairs section dedicated to antique automotive memorabilia will open soon.
The store’s hours are Wednesday through Friday from 12 to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12-5 p.m.
Greensboro Antiques is one of five new businesses launching on Main Street this year, joining the Eagle Gallery, Mockingbird on Main and the soon-to-open Grandma’s Attic. The Forneys hope the community will continue to support the revitalization of downtown.
