UAB Live HealthSmart Mobile Market at Miles College.

Live HealthSmart Alabama is hosting a grand opening of their Mobile Market on Feb. 26.

The UAB agency will introduce its Mobile Market from 12-2 p.m. at City Block Wellness on Broad Street in Selma.

The launch will include fresh produce and grocery staples for the community. It will also include cooking demonstrations and a yoga class.

Live HealthSmart Alabama started a three-year initiative in Selma in 2023 to improve healthy eating and has done that with Pop-Up Wellness Clinics across the community and by renovating the East Selma Community Park and its fishing pond for residents to have a place for recreation and exercise on the walking trail. They also host Happy Healthy Kids initiative at schools in Dallas County.

Live HealthSmart Alabama has expanded to Demopolis and plans to work in Camden.
