An article by World Atlas says that Camden is among the "cutest" towns to visit in 2024. 

Camden is noted for its food, outdoor activities and cultural scene, as well as history. The historic Antioch Baptist Church was once the scene of a sermon by Martin Luther King, Jr. 

Bridgeport Beach and Roland Cooper State Park were highlighted for their recreational value, especially for water-based activities such as swimming and fishing. 

The Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center was brought up for its gallery displaying the works of artists from across the Black Belt.
