The upcoming 20th Annual Roots and Wings art show by Arts Revive is taking applications for the April competition.Â
"Roots" refers to artists who live in Alabama while "wings" refers to those who live outside the state. The winner can receive up to $1,000 in prizes.Â
Bruce Andrews will serve as judge. He is currently the Executive Director of the Shelby County Arts Council.Â
Categories will include 3D, drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, and printmaking.Â
See the following for eligibility requirements:
Entrants must be current or former residents of Alabama.
Only work not previously shown in ArtsRevive shows is allowed.
All work must be original and all reference material should be the work of the artist. No paintings made from other painters' or photographers' work should be submitted for competition.
All artworks must have been created within the past 3 years
