The Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles (ABPP) will graduate the participants of its 10th Perry County PREP Center program.

According to a press release from ABPP more than 50 participants will graduate, bringing almost 400 since the program began in 2022. The press release also said that none have returned to the justice system since graduating.

The program reportedly uses mental health and substance use counseling to help inmates in the justice system to reenter society upon release.

The 11th cohort will begin on July 8 and will graduate on Oct. 3.

The graduation ceremony will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the PREP Center located on 4805 U.S. HWY 80 in Uniontown.
