Two have been arrested after Dallas County and Selma law enforcement officers saturated the entertainment district of the city during the weekend.Â
According to WSFA, the saturation was in response to the shootings that took place on the weekend of Aug. 22-23.Â
More than a dozen officers were present at the district where over 40 citations were issued and four guns were confiscated.Â
Davion Edwards of Selma was one of the two who were arrested and faces a charge of marijuana in the first degree.Â
A second, unidentified suspect was arrested after reportedly leading officers on a car chase that exceeded 100 mph. The chase ended with the car crashing and the suspect being injured.Â
Once recovered the suspect will be arrested.Â
