2021: Year in Review

We hoped 2021 would erase the bad memories COVID-19 created for 2020, and in some ways it did.

A lifesaving vaccine for the deadly virus became available in the spring, bringing cases down enough for businesses to reopen over the summer and many of Selma and Dallas County schools to invite students back in the fall.

Business owners and developers weren’t afraid to double-down on Selma and Dallas County in 2021. We welcomed many new businesses and new owners of historic buildings as speculators take a chance on the charm of Selma.
