The 2026 Selma Cinema Festival produced by Foot Soldiers Park is set for March 26-29.Â
The annual event features independent films from both inside and outside the U.S. themed around Selma "as a catalyst for change" said a website for the festival.Â
Prizes will be awarded for the following:Â
- Best Feature Film – $2,500 cash prize
- Best Alabama Short Film – $500 award and custom trophy
- Best U.S. Short Film – $500 award and custom trophy
- Best Foreign Short Film – custom trophy and invitation to attend the Fenêtres sur Courts festival in France
- Best Social Justice Short Film – custom trophy and invitation to the 2027 Bridge Crossing Jubilee in Selma
