The 2026 Relay For Life event in Thomasville honoring cancer survivors and those who have the condition will be held on April 18. 

Anyone who has a family member or friend who is a cancer survivor is invited to register. 

"We want to recognize and honor those who have fought or might still be fighting cancer," said an announcement from the Thomasville Alabama Chamber of Commerce. "You are our biggest heroes."

$4,966.94 has been raised out of a $20,000 goal so far.

The event will begin at 2 p.m. at Gates Drive Park on 781 Gates Drive.
