The upcoming All the Hats Conference hosted at Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) on Nov. 10 will provide networking and education for small business owners and nonprofit leaders.

“Small business owners and nonprofit leaders are doing important work in communities across Alabama, and they shouldn’t have to figure everything out on their own,” said William A. Barnes, president and chief executive officer of the Urban League of Alabama. “This partnership is about making sure they have access to the people, resources and opportunities that can help them move forward.”

The Urban League of Alabama is partnering with All the Hats to bring the conference to Selma.

“Selma has a rich history of leadership, entrepreneurship and community impact, and we want to make sure the people building its future have access to the resources they need to grow,” said Kelli C. Solomon, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Urban League of Alabama.

“All the Hats gives business owners and nonprofit leaders more than information. It creates meaningful connections to experts, funding opportunities and support that can help turn their ideas and hard work into sustainable growth.”

Presenters will include Lydia Chatmon in the Nonprofit track and Jimmie Coleman III in the Leadership track. Selma Mayor Johnny “Skip” Moss III and Alabama State Sen. Robert Stewart will appear in the lunch panel and additional speakers will be announced.

“All the Hats was designed to fill the gap for small business owners and nonprofit leaders who need experts around their table to grow their organization to the next phase and access the resources to do that,” said Samantha Southerland, cofounder of All the Hats. “This is not another conference where people talk at you. It is a conference where you leave with the people you need around your table. We’re so excited to expand into Selma through our partnership with the Urban League of Alabama.”

Guests can apply for the $1,500 All the Hats Impact Awards providing funding to selected small businesses and nonprofits. To receive the award applicants must purchase a ticket, apply online and be present at the event.

Tickets are $99.

WCCS is located at 3000 Earl Goodwin Parkway in Selma.
