The annual Sturdivant Hall Museum BBQ on the Green fundraiser held on Oct. 14 was a success this year despite being limited to take-out only due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

Mary Margaret Mims, Sturdivant Hall Museum director, said the fundraiser “has been a huge success, and we appreciate everybody buying tickets.” She pointed out that more than 400 tickets were sold this year at $25 each. And she said, “All the funds raised are used to help maintain the beauty of Sturdivant Hall and the grounds.”

The barbecue plates were prepared by Nick Stevens, June Sullivan, Heather Stevens and Madalyn Stevens of Golden Ranch BBQ and Grill, and each plate included barbecue, potato salad, coleslaw and baked beans with homemade dessert.
