An escaped kangaroo was recovered by law enforcement officers after its owner was involved in a car wreck in Macon County on Tuesday.Â
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's (ALEA) social media, a two-vehicle crash forced lane closures in the southbound lane of Interstate 85 near the 46 mile marker in Macon County.
Troopers from ALEA's Highway Patrol Division helped to find the animal and the lanes were eventually reopened.Â
"The kangaroo was not injured in the crash," said the post on social media.Â
