Avis Williams shares message of thanks after being chosen as NOLA superintendent

Selma City Schools Superintendent Avis Williams recently shared a message of thanks following her being approved to be new superintendent of the NOLA Public Schools system in Louisiana. 

In a video shared to the Selma City Schools Twitter page she expressed her thanks to the public, saying, "As excited as I am about this new opportunity it does come with some bittersweetness and I just want to take this time to thank the entire Selma community for the support you have provided to me over the past five years." 

Williams said that the school system has "thrived" in recent years and shared her appreciation for the staff and employees.
