The Black Belt Community Foundation has kicked off its 2023 Throw & Go Contest for a chance to win ticket to this year's Iron Bowl tournament between Auburn and Alabama.
“Throw & Go has become a cherished annual BBCF tradition," said BBCF Felicia Lucky. "With the energy and excitement surrounding football season in Alabama, we share our excitement and enthusiasm in trust-based participatory philanthropy. This actively involves our service counties helping to raise the funds that are in turn granted each year through BBCF Community Grants.”
Participants enter by buying a $5 ticket to have their name put inside of a container. On Nov. 7 a name will be randomly picked and announced on social media.
Afterward the chosen participant will have three tries to complete a 12-yard pass, with the 12 being symbolic of the counties of the Black Belt.
