Bear Exploration Center in Montgomery has been recognized as "school of excellence" by the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program.Â
The program recognizes private elementary, middle, and high schools for academic performance and closing achievement gaps in student subgroups, said a post on social media by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.Â
"The coveted National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content," said the post.Â
