Several Black Belt counties are among others to be included in the latest grants from the state for road and bridge projects.
In an announcement from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) $2.6 million in state funding is being awarded for these projects.
“I’m proud to announce Rebuild Alabama’s next round of funding for 2023. Alabama is tackling the issue of critical transportation infrastructure needs with determination and an answer to the problem at hand – that solution is Rebuild Alabama,” said Gov. Kay Ivey.
“The projects we are announcing today will continue to provide substantial progress all across our state.”
11 projects have been selected in this round, with more than $1.6 million in local matching funds.
Barbour, Sumter, and Clarke are among those in the list. See here for more information on the projects.
