The Black Belt is under a slight to moderate risk of flooding as heavy rains are projected for Thursday through Friday. 

According to graphics from the National Weather Service Birmingham most of the Black Belt is under a moderate risk of flooding on Thursday, with possible rainfall amounts of four inches. 

There is also a slight risk of 60 mph winds and brief, isolated tornadoes. 

On Friday much of the Black Belt will still be under a moderate risk, with potential rains being three inches. 

The public is advised to stay up to date with weather reports and take precautions as needed.
