Several youths from the Black Belt are among 34 members of the 2025-2026 4-H state ambassadors.
An announcement from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System said that the ambassadors serve as representatives, promote programs and assist with state-level events as well as 4-H youth councils in their regions.
“Working with the ambassadors each year is an extremely exciting part of my job,” Joy Scott, Alabama 4-H leadership and citizenship specialist. “I have the opportunity to witness firsthand how the ambassadors explore their personal 4-H spark on the county, regional and state level.”
Ambassadors who hail from the Black Belt are:
John Bates, Perry County
Leland Burge, Clarke County
Madisyn King, Dallas County
Landon McClintock, Barbour County
Brea Swindall, Pike County
Charity Tubberville, Crenshaw County
