The BraveHER Women Veterans Resource Fair at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library seeks to raise awareness about breast cancer and domestic violence on Oct. 3.Â
A flyer for the event states that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and that one in five will experience domestic violence.Â
Held by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs the fair will offer cancer screening, chaplain services, suicide prevention resources, VA healthcare enrollment assistance and more.Â
It will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the library on 1103 Selma Avenue.Â
