An employee of the Butler County Sheriff's Office was arrested by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) on a burglary related charge.Â
Weston Zane Keeney faces a charge of burglary in the second degree.Â
An announcement made by the Butler County Sheriff's Office stated that they were not involved in the arrest and that the offense reportedly took place in Georgiana.Â
"The Butler County Sheriff’s Office has fully cooperated with SBI throughout this investigation," said the announcement.Â
Keeney was fired on the same day that Sheriff David Scruggs was notified of the arrest.Â
Keeney was placed in the Butler Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.Â
