Camden was included in a list of 12 towns in Alabama to visit each month by AL.com

The town was noted for its attraction for visitors interested in history, art, outdoors and food. September was the suggested month to visit. 

Camden Shoe Shop & Quilt Museum was mentioned as a place to visit that is themed around black history from slavery to the Civil Rights Movement, as well as Gee's Bend, famous for its quilting community. 

The Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center and Roland Cooper State Park were included. And lastly was Jackson's Station, a local restaurant known for its fried chicken in particular.
