A teenager from Camden was killed in a car crash on Highway 43 in Marengo County on Friday.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at 7:05 p.m. May 2 and claimed the life of a Camden 18-year-old who has not been identified. The teen was a passenger in a 2016 Nissan Altima driven by Alecia M. Jackson, 21, of Thomasville.Â
According to State Troopers, the Altima struck a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Heather R. Hill, 37, of Gallion. The teen was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene, Troopers said in a release.
The driver of the Nissan was injured and transported to Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. 43 near the 127 mile marker, seven miles south of Demopolis in Marengo County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
