City of Marion to host back to school event on July 19

The City of Marion will host a back to school supplies giveaway and community event on July 19 starting at 4:30 p.m. 

School supplies will be given away at 4:30 p.m. as the event will also have popcorn, candy, food trucks and an outdoor movie featuring "Mufasa: The Lion King". 

"Together as a community we can ensure our children head back to school with confidence and excitement," said the city's social media page. 

The event will take place 123 E. Jefferson Street. To participate or donate, call Marion City Hall at 334-683-6545.
