City of Montgomery announces partnership with Urban League for service expansion

A recent statement from the City of Montgomery announced that it has partnered with the Urban League of Alabama to expand its services into the city. 

“Montgomery’s strength has always come from our people — their resilience, talent, and determination," said Mayor Steven Reed. "By welcoming the Urban League’s expanded presence in our city, we are building new pathways to opportunity for families, entrepreneurs, and young people. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to equity and empowerment for every resident of Montgomery.”

These services include: 

• Bridging "workforce gaps" by educating residents about the economy
• Offering housing counseling, credit building, and entrepreneurship support
• Mentoring, education, and violence prevention initiatives for youths and families 
• Offering resources to citizens to promote "equity and inclusion"
