It’s hard to find a topic more popular in Selma right now than the pop-up of potholes throughout the Queen City and what the city plans to do about them. Especially as prime pothole season approaches in the spring.Â
Selma Mayor Darrio Melton recently brought Public Works Director Steve Hendricks on his weekly radio show on 94.7FM WJAM to let him address what his department is doing to fill the holes.Â
Hendricks said it’s hard to get to each pothole fixed with the small staff that’s left after layoffs in late 2018, with a slim budget and limited access to asphalt.
