Civil Rights leader John Lewis, who passed away at the age of 80 in 2020, will have is legacy honored with an event on Saturday, July 13 in Selma and Montgomery. 

The schedule is as follows: 

Participants will gather at the Songs of Selma Park at 9 a.m. for a commemorative walk on the corner of Broad Street and Water Street. 

At 1 p.m. Dr. Robert White from Alabama State University will deliver a presentation, "The Rights of Non-Violent Resistance", at the Montgomery Interpretive Center on 1521 Harris Way. 

At 2 p.m. "Remembering His Words" will be held at the Montgomery Interpretive Center. 

The final event will be a film showing at the Montgomery Interpretive Center at 3 p.m.
