Clarke County Courthouse swears in members of new Major Crimes Task Force

Members of the new First Judicial Circuit Major Crimes Task Force have been sworn in at the Clarke County Courthouse. 

An announcement from the Clarke County Sheriff's Office said that District Attorney Stephen Winters administered the oath to investigators hailing from Clarke, Choctaw, and Washington counties. 

"The newly formed unit will provide investigators with assistance in major crime investigations through experience, knowledge, and additional resources," said the announcement.

"It will also encourage interagency partnerships that will allow investigations to be conducted faster, more efficient, and more thorough with open communication and collaborative case work.
