The Clarke County Sheriff's Office is warning citizens of a scam that attempts to take money for supposed missed jury duty. 

A post on social media by the department said that law enforcement will never call citizens about payments for missed jury duty or related matters. Any fines imposed should be paid at the Clarke County Courthouse. 

Calls of this kind should be blocked, said the post. 

"If you want to be funny, ask them if the warden knows they have a phone in the prison, then hang up and block the number," it adds.
