Authorities in Crenshaw County are searching for a suspect believed to be involved in the burglary of a Marathon convenience store.Â
According to the Luverne Journal, the store was broken into on the night of March 25 or the following morning. The property was damaged and cash and the owner's car was stolen.Â
The suspect has been identified as Ravin Patel, 24.Â
The vehicle is a white 2015 Ram 4X4 Crew Cab with the tag number as MANIBAA. $2,173 in cash is missing from the store.Â
Patel faces charges of theft of property in the first degree, theft of property in the second degree and burglary in the third degree.Â
Though he is not believed to be a danger to the public anyone who has information is encouraged to call 911 or contact the Crenshaw County Sheriff's Office at 334-335-4850.Â

Weather Watch for Central Alabama, which is in effect from
Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy
conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
