CrimeStoppers will host a gun buyback event in Montgomery on Saturday, July 26.Â
Anyone who is interested in surrendering a gun can bring in a rifle or shotgun for $50, a functioning handgun for $100 and an assault style/semi-auto rifle for $200.
All firearms that are turned in will be destroyed. Participants can bring in bb guns, air rifles, non-functioning firearms and knives but no compensation will be given for these.
Firearms can be turned in anonymously and must be unloaded with ammunition being separated.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church on 1931 Highland Avenue in Montgomery.Â

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
