District Attorney Robert Turner Jr. put out a plea on social media Sunday looking for information from the public about a shooting on Saturday in Sardis where six people were injured.
Turner said teenagers were "once again" among the victims and the suspects.
"While we are grateful there were no fatalities, the suspect remains at large," Turner said in the statement. "Our office stands firm on the need for firearm accountability and reform. We must also come together as a community to prioritize public safety—our children deserve to live like children, and our cherished events should not be overshadowed by fear."
He is asking the community to "please step forward" and contact law enforcement to provide information by contacting Central Alabama Crime Stoppers anonymously at (334) 215-STOP (7867) or 1-833-AL1-STOP (251-7867). Calls can also go to the Dallas County Sheriff's Department at (334) 874-2530.
