The Dallas County Commission approved spending $1.4 million to resurface County Road 17 during their meeting on Monday night.
Construction should begin in November. The asphalt contract includes widening the road as well as repaving it. Funds are part of an Annual Grant Program under the Rebuild Alabama Act. Read more about the act here.
County Road 17, which has a sink hole that brought the road to one lane last year, is set to be resurfaced from SR-22 to CR-157. The 3.5 miles will cost includes matching funds.
