The Selma High School Saints dominated Montevallo High School with a 54-7 victory in a game played Thursday night to avoid Hurricane Isaias.

The Saints started strong and finished strong, showcasing their offensive power and defensive dominance throughout the matchup.

Cedrick Simmons, a four-star commit for University of Alabama, set the tone early, scoring the game’s first touchdown and giving Selma the momentum from the opening moments.

The Saints continued to build on that early success, putting together an impressive first half and heading into halftime with a commanding 48-0 lead.

With such a large advantage, Selma’s coaching staff gave the junior varsity players an opportunity to finish the game after halftime. The younger players got a touchdown, missed the extra point and gave up a touchdown to Montevallo.

Selma remains undefeated 7-0 for the season. Montevallo falls to 1-6.
