In a clash of two undefeated powerhouses, the Southside High School Panthers delivered a statement win Friday night, routing the Thorsby High School Rebels 74–22 to capture the Class 3A Regional Championship.

Both teams entered the matchup with perfect records and reputations for explosive offenses, but it was Southside that set the tone early and never looked back.

“Their energy was amazing, but we have to do a better job on defense.” said Southside head coach Charles Moody. “We will always have some things to work on and to get better at and we will continue to do that. I'm just proud and we will try to continue this thing rolling all the way to the playoffs."

The Panthers will play their last regular season game on Thursday, Oct. 30 against Bullock County High School at 7 p.m. in Selma on the Panther's field.
