Documentary on Trés Taylor mural project to be featured at Selma Cinema Festival

Artist Tres Taylor and wife Helene Taylor are leading volunteers to paint a new mural downtown.

A short documentary on muralist Trés Taylor will be featured on the upcoming Selma Cinema Festival on April 3-5. 

The artist's "Revolution of Joy" project has volunteers turn out for mural painting events to promote community and the arts. 

The documentary will be shown on Friday, April 4 at 11 a.m. with a panel discussion to follow. The festival is free to attend. 

Additionally, a recent announcement said that the dates for the next "Revolution of Joy" project is slated for May 2-3. 

The festival, produced by the Foot Soldiers Park, will be held at the Walton Theater Selma 1018 Water Avenue.
