Eighteen Black Belt athletes named to All-State teams

Several Black Belt athletes were named to the All-State high school basketball teams by the Alabama Sports Writers Association Saturday.

In Dallas County, the following athletes were recognized:

Shamya Allison, Southside – Class 3A, Third-team All-State

Tommy Tisdale III, Keith High School – Class 1A, First-team All-State 

Jakayla Moore, Keith High School – Class 1A, Third-team All-State 

Sarah Moore, Morgan Academy – AISA Girls, Honorable Mention 

CJ Williams, Morgan Academy – AISA Boys, Honorable Mention 

In Montgomery County, Blake Smith of Trinity Presbyterian School was named Coach of the Year. The following Montgomery County athletes were recognized:

Maddie Smith, Trinity Presbyterian School – Class 3A Girls, First-team All-State

Francie Morris, Trinity Presbyterian School – Class 3A Girls, Second-team All-State

Mya Moskowitz, Trinity Presbyterian School – Class 3A Girls, Second-team All-State

Skyler Stovall, Montgomery Academy – Class 3A Boys, Second-team All-State

John Morris, Trinity Presbyterian School – Class 3A Boys, Third-team All-State
