The event is sponsored by the Mortimer & Mimi Levit Foundation, Rural Health Medical Program, Alexander Broadcasting, K. Allen Consulting and Transform Alabama.Â
Vendors and food trucks will include Sweet Advantages, the Lemonade

"Last November, Selma was named one of 33 small to mid-sized towns and cities across America to receive a Levitt AMP Selma Grant Award of $90K in matching funds to present a free concert series at Selma’s Riverfront Amphitheater in 2023, 2024, and 2025," said a press release from Selma Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation.Â
"The Black Belt Community Foundation through its Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation initiative along with the City of Selma and the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information summitted the Levitt AMP proposal and is presenting the concert series. In an effort to inspire and engage communities across the country around the power of creative placemaking, the Levitt Foundation invited the public to choose the Top 20 finalists through online voting."
Ms. Necie and Sounds will be the first to perform. The series ends on July 29. For more information visit levitt.org.Â
