Great Alabama 650 race

The next Great Alabama 650 is set to take place from Sept. 21 to Oct. 1 along the Alabama Scenic River Trail (ASRT). 

Every fall the 650 mile trek begins at Lake Weiss in north Alabama to Ft. Morgan in south Alabama. Competitors race by canoe, kayak or paddle board. 

A prize of $2,000 is awarded to three categories, these being: solo male, solo female and two-person tandem. 

"Since the inaugural race of 2019, our ASRT athletes have earned worldwide recognition for their strength, endurance and skill," said a flyer for the event.
