A Greenville High School student was arrested after police discovered a gun on their person.

According to WSFA, police were alerted when a call was made about the student's social media. Officers found the student on Thursday and searched them, discovering a revolver under their clothes.

The student was charged with making a terrorist threat based on the social media posts that police were notified of.

As a precaution the school was closed, though Butler County Schools Superintendent Joseph Eiland assured parents that the threat was removed.
