Groundbreaking stock

A groundbreaking will be held for the Montgomery Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF) on Thursday, Feb. 27. 

"The ICTF, developed through a partnership between the Alabama Port Authority and CSX, represents a major step forward in strengthening Alabama’s freight infrastructure, enhancing mobility, and attracting new investments," said a press release from the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce.

An invitation only bus tour of the industrial park will precede the groundbreaking to provide a view of the surrounding industry sites, including those that will be benefitting from the ICTF. 

"This state-of-the-art facility will provide seamless rail and truck connectivity between central Alabama and the Port of Mobile, enhancing freight mobility and stimulating economic growth throughout the region," the press release adds.
