Hale County Emergency Management hosted a disaster response drill that involved more than 16 counties, 60 agencies, and around 500 people on March 14.

Participants trained with scenarios that included a school bus crash, a school shooting, and a fire on the football field.

According to the Alabama Emergency Management Agency's (AEMA) social media the drill aimed at bringing together different agencies to most effectively respond to disaster situations.

"A lot of sweat went into making this an effective drill, and we were thrilled to be invited to such an event," said a post on the AEMA Facebook page.

Photos of the training can be seen here.
