Heat advisory issued for Central Alabama

Central Alabama is again under a heat advisory that will continue to tomorrow and may go on through the week.

According to AlabamaWx Weather Blog, high temperatures and humidity will push heat index values to more than 105 degrees.

These temperatures will create a risk for thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours.

The public is advised to take precautions if working outdoors or holding events outside and to keep up to date with climate reports.
