The hours and guidelines for the East Selma Community Fish Pond at the corner of Hardie and Plant Street have been announced for those looking for a spot to fish this summer.

The announcement from the City of Selma said that residents are not required to have fishing licenses if they have proof of residency. Non-residents, however, will need to obtain licenses.

Fishers are advised to return fishes that are smaller than a hand. It is requested that no more than five fishes are caught at a time due to the size of the pond and the number of fish.

Hours of operation are:

Monday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
