A $250 million project to convert the No. 16 machine at International Paper's Riverdale mill in Selma from uncoated freesheet to containerboard has been completed.Â
According to Paper Advance the production capacity and commercial output has not been confirmed.Â
The conversion was announced in 2025 and had previously supplied Sylvamo with an estimated 260,000 short tons of cutsize uncoated freesheet per year.
Also previously was a $300 million project to change No. 15 machine from uncoated freesheet to whitetop linerboard and containerboard.
