Lannie's Bar-B-Q Spot included in 'Restaurants of the Year' by USA Today

Lannie's Bar-B-Q Spot in Selma reopened on June 7 after being rebuilt from tornado damage in 2023.

Lannie's Bar-B-Q Spot in Selma was recently included in a list of "Restaurants of the Year 2025" by USA Today. 

The locally famous eatery was noted for opening in 1946 after the Hatcher family began selling pulled pork from their backyard in 1944. It is now run by a fifth generation family. 

Also notable was when it was damaged by the tornado of 2023 and later rebuilt. 

Its pulled pork sandwich is one of the food items on the menu making it a staple in the community.
